Finally fix the annoying BCM4704 segfault issues (#2035) - tested with WL-500gP Thanks to jhansen and Wolfram Joost for the fixes and to ryd for the test hardware. Seems like the user space segfaults actually came from this patch: lkml.org/lkml/2006/12/12/158
